A listening place beyond the feed.

Two rooms, together or on their own.

Collections brings short, authored passages into the voice you choose. Kaleidophone brings evolving soundscapes around them. Use either on its own, or let words and sound meet in an experience shaped by what you choose and what you notice.

What is a cartridge?

A cartridge contains sound material and instructions for how it can combine, vary and transition during playback. Natural sounds, music and designed textures unfold on your device from that authored material. Download a cartridge, load it in Kaleidophone and press Play.

Words with room between them.

Choose a voice and a Collection of carefully arranged passages. Quiet intervals leave time to think, move or simply listen. Ordinary playback uses the texts as authored; it does not generate or rewrite them.

Make the experience your own.

Preview a narrator and adjust the interval, voice level and supported playback speed in Voice Playback Settings. Explore Voice Lab to try voices or make a private voice from your own recording. Download a published Collection from the Authored Collections Library, or create and edit a personal Collection of your own.

Why “kaleidophonic”?

A kaleidoscope rearranges a bounded set of pieces into changing relationships. A cartridge does that in sound: familiar material can reveal different paths and combinations as you listen.
